Here is how College Football Post Season should be played.
Top 24 Teams in NCAA Division I-A make the 24 team Bracketed Tournament. The first 24 teams will be taken from the Bowl Championship Series ranking of the Top 25 at the end of season play. Simple, now we have the Top 24 teams in the nation
All Independent Schools will need to join a current conference in order to be accepted into the Bracket Championship series.

There will be 5 weeks of post season play, played over six weeks. Refer to the Bracket Championship Series Tournament Schedule. The first 4 Saturdays will each consist of a round in the Tournament schedule. After the fourth Saturday we should be down to our final two teams to play for the first ever National Title game.
There are 34 Bowls this year, 2008, being played. The Bracket Championship Series Tournament has 23 games. Unfortunately 11 of the current bowl games being sponsored and played this year will be eliminated. No big deal because most people cannot name more than the top 8 bowls, let alone more than 16 without looking at the bowl schedule. Of course the major bowls Sugar, Orange, Rose and Fiesta will be played in the same round and that is the quarter final round. The semi-final rounds need to be named.
Pretty simple isn't it and the majority of all Americans want a tournament. Is it going to be a 24 team tourney like I have presented or are we all going to come up with something better?
